Motor Coach Industries (MCI), an industry leader in Charter and Luxury Touring Coaches, is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team. As the market leader, MCI designs, manufactures and markets coaches for tour, line haul, transit and conversion uses. MCI is committed to providing our customers with high-quality products along with aftermarket services throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The Maintenance Worker position is responsible for performing facility and equipment maintenance, along with fabrication of tools and fixtures for operational areas.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair Mechanical & Electrical systems, steam boilers, air compressors, HVAC systems
  • Maintain and repair CNC & related equipment
  • Maintain and repair company vehicles, tractors, forklifts etc.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment, tools, overhead doors and walk-in doors
  • Maintain and repair water system throughout plant as well as emergency sprinkler system
  • Fabricate tools and fixtures for all departments

    Position Requirements

  • Must have good command of English language to effectively read work instructions Knowledge and experience working within a manufacturing/production environment is an asset.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment (bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling, squatting, push/pulling, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, working in confined spaces and at heights).
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Education or hands-on experience in a related field is a definite asset.
