Job Description

MSX International is currently seeking a Senior Specialty Developer.  The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

  • Windows Engineers with system administration skills
  • Five years of experience on Windows Server operating systems
  • Must have a current certification or equivalent
  • Large-scale Data Center experience (Min 5 years)
  • Technical skills in scripting, programming and/or automation are essential
  • Participates in all Windows deployment work streams including Windows Server builds (both physical and virtual), decommissions, NAS/SAN requests, IIS site builds and decommissions, L4 documentation creation and maintenance
  • Will need to be widely diverse and skilled in automation development with regards to tooling and process within our Window server deployment team
  • Candidate will be asked to operationally test company engineering released software/OS patches packages in our lab and schedule deployment of updates across 7000 Window servers globally
  • Candidates are required to support Production Sunday maintenance windows (4am-10am) and Development/QA Wednesday maintenance windows (6p.m. - Midnight) for patching activities
  • Adapts to a DEVOPS support model
  • Proficient in coding and developing automation for server work tasks like, automation of server build process, automating change management processes, and developing system patch level dashboard creations
  • Candidate must be able to develop administration scripts in Power Shell and vbScript 
  • Job Requirements

    Experience Preferred:

    • Strong technical understanding of SAN, NAS, network and firewall technologies used at the company
    • Five plus years of experience troubleshooting server hardware issues on Client/Unix server platforms manufactured by Client and IBM
    • Solid understanding server related tools such as GICC, Tivoli, SCCM, WSUS, EHPAS, PAR, TSM, vCenter and Client-DDMI/DDMA tools
    • Programming and scripting in CHEF, SPLUNK and other automation tools are preferred skills
    • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work with multiple teams in a global environment
    • Must be highly motivated and able to work on multiple initiatives/projects at the same time
    • Must be able to work Sunday and Wednesday maintenance windows as identified above

    Education Required:

    • Four year degree in a technical field
